what our parents have to say...

"The British Academy was a very good choice and we highly recommend this school to any parent who is seeking best practice standards for their children"

We reviewed all the private schools in Trinidad and chose the British Academy for our children.

Having joined the school at such an early age of 7 & 9 they were both accepted into a class which was created to suit their needs.
We were so impressed to see their growth and maturity at The Academy which was always caring and sensitive to their overall education.
My son William graduated today after 8 years of the British Academy’s learning environment; he has evolved into a responsible individual with good ethics and integrity.
We couldn’t ask for more. The British Academy was a very good choice and we highly recommend this school to any parent who is seeking best practice standards for their children.

A great foundation has been set, supported by a skilled group of teachers and with the caring experienced guidance from its Principal.

"The British Academy is a sound choice for any parent seeking a quality education for their son or daughter in a positive and progressive environment"

My son is currently in his fourth year at The British Academy and I am very pleased with the progress he has made thus far at the school.

The school experience is a warm and caring one where students, teachers and parents know each other well and look out for one another.

The staff is vibrant and the school provides a steady balance between academic endeavour and extra-curricular activity to ensure all who attend there grow to be well-rounded individuals.

Those in authority uphold a rigid “no-nonsense” approach to any negative influences, should they arise, and policies are regularly implemented or reviewed to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.

The British Academy is a sound choice for any parent seeking a quality education for their son or daughter in a positive and progressive environment.

"This caring approach is balanced with a rigorous focus on academic development"

In early 2018 we decided to move our 10-year-old son out of the traditional school system and explored a number of options. We were impressed by British Academy’s claims to provide a caring environment, claims which proved to be true within the first few weeks of his first term.

This caring approach is balanced with a rigorous focus on academic development administered by a form teacher, Ms. Scarpa, whose experience and attention allowed her to engage effectively with our son.

Thanks to the environment they provide, our son has adapted wonderfully to the British Academy. He enjoys going to school and is progressing well with his course work. We hope our experience continues to be as positive and look forward to a long and productive time at the British Academy.

"I praise the school and facility for the positive encouragement, meeting his needs, being flexible and accommodating"

“Approximately 2 1/2 years ago, my son joined the British Academy family. This has to be one of the best decisions I have made for my son.  After going from school to school in search of the right fit for him, The British family came in hands down being the perfect fit, in School, Environment, Curriculum, and Family.
Being Dyslexic and struggling in our local school system, he showed signs of depression, anxiety social and interactive recluse and every Monday morning was the worst day of his life, tears and all. To now he is thriving, grades are climbing (now in the 80% range) holding his own in social and physical activities, even did a little public speaking. I praise the school and facility for the positive encouragement, meeting his needs, being flexible and accommodating when necessary. I am so very proud as I watch my son flourish into a kind, mannerly and respectful young man.
THANK YOU, British Academy for helping guide, teach and encourage my son.”

"The British Academy Education system is a superior one"

“The British Academy Education system is a superior one and I am not afraid to state what the facts are.  Hence the reason that it is not cheap, but in the end the benefits outweigh the cost. Other benefits of British Academy Education system are as follows:

– Prepares each individual’s mind and thinking process through methodological structured learning.

– Enables students to think critically, and this enhances students’ ability to reason.

– Enhances the Communication Skills of students through the promotion of reading frequently.

– The Social Experiences through ICT learning and school activities prepare students to be at the cutting edge in the information age.

– Creates a well-rounded individual in preparation for society and the rest of the world and this is done through the promotion of discipline.

– Encourages students to be responsible and self-driven, thereby increasing their options in the global landscape

The British Academy Education system gives students knowledge of the world around them. It develops students toward a perspective of looking at life to build opinions and have a point of view on things in life. British Academy identifies that education and experience build knowledge and promotes this feature through the visual arts, music, and all school activities.”

"The British Academy's discipline and structure system provided an environment conducive to education"

“Had our children not been given the opportunity to attend The British Academy they would not have completed their secondary education as successfully as they did.
The local system, even at primary level frustrated two of my children to the point of failure.  So much so that we removed them and they entered The British Academy.  My second eldest was able to get through SEA with a pass for his first choice, but after two years at a school with almost zero discipline and continual disruption, we had no choice but to move him to The British Academy.
The British Academy’s discipline and structure provided an environment conducive to education.  Their use of the Cambridge curriculum proved more balanced thereby creating a better developed and well rounded student.  The British Academy also catered for different learning abilities that put success within reach of those that would have otherwise been left behind.
My wife and I have no hesitation recommending The British Academy to anyone seeking an alternative to Trinidad’s local school system.”
