An educator with more than 36 years experience, school administrator since 1994. Focus on the wholistic development of life-long learners, ready for the digital age. Strong interest in the use of technology (ICTs) to enhance teaching and learning with a balance in the learning environment – academics, sports and self development opportunities are of equal importance. As an administrator, believe in giving each member of staff the opportunity to grow into leadership roles, to take the initiative and to accept responsibility for their teaching and learning. A team effort is critical to accomplishing goals, and the success of each learner lies within his or her own self. I strongly believe that “to whom much is given, much is expected” so that service to others becomes the norm.
My advice to my students: “Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else” Judy Garland.
Mrs. Pereira enjoys reading, jewellery making and travelling.
