Dr. Colin Andrew

Native to Scotland, Dr. Andrew received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) at Glasgow University. He is now a resident of Trinidad and Tobago. He is a partner in a Private Dental Practice, Smile Designs Ltd in San Fernando.

 

Mr. Shashank Kansal

Shashank, an entrepreneurial spirit, has co-founded seven successful start-ups. In corporate life, he managed European business for a Nasdaq listed telecom company as Senior Vice President, provided Caribbean leadership to NYSE listed technology company, was global Client Partner to GlaxoSmithKline for a technology company and setup European operations for a pharma commercialisation solutions company.

In his spare time he mentors businesses and is on board of some. He led creation of a self-sustaining franchise model for a mobile based initiative in Africa. Currently he is a strategic growth leader for fortune 500 company – Quintiles and based in England. He has executive education from Harvard Business School, Cambridge and London. He has over 23 years of experience.

Well-travelled across the world, he has travel and/or work experience from over 95 countries including Far East, Europe, India, UK, USA, Africa, Australia, Pacific, South America & Caribbean.

Mr. Robert Mowser

 Mrs. Carolyn Mowser

Carolyn Mowser studied in Florida and received a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She was an active teacher working with various ages of children until 1998. Out of concern for her own children's future education she initiated the idea of the British Academy and subsequently put together the team that created the school.

Mr. Nicholas Sudan

Mr. Sudan joined the team in January 2010. He has a BSc Management Studies (1st Class Honours) and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad & Tobago. He has had a diverse career as a Senior Investment Analyst at Development Finance Limited and various positions in Logistics and Accounting in Unilever Caribbean in Trinidad, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. In 2000, he started a Chartered Accounting Practice. Nicholas is married with 2 children, one of whom attended the British Academy.

Mrs. Julie Avey

Julie Avey is one of the founding directors of British Academy and is passionate about "creating an environment that nurtures questioning minds and adventurous spirits".

Having graduated with a BA Commerce from Robert Gordons in Aberdeen Scotland, her career has been in change management which began in Price Waterhouse, continued in SmithKline Beecham (now Glaxo Smithkline) on an international supply chain deployment programme (in the Far East and Latin America) and then 8 years with Evolve Partners as Consultant/General Manager.  In 2010 Julie joined the Neal and Massy group in the Automotive business and is currently living and working in Cali, Colombia as Neal and Massy establishes the group in this exciting and promising country.

Julie is married with a teenage son and daughter and her family is her number one priority.
